The following pages outline and provide the committee reports for the 20-year strategic plan for the Diocese. It is not a short-range operational plan of 3-5 years. The operational plans will be done after the overall plan is completed and the departments have their guidance from it. Click here to review the outline and Pastor's comments.
Each chapter follows the same general format. For each major area the committee reports are preceeded byt he comments of the pastors solicited before the committees began their work A background section will include the appropriate reference to the documents of Vatican II and other church or diocesan documents, background material that will outline the subject, the history of work in that field within the diocese, and an outline of the issues to be addressed. The final set of goals will have a series of measurable objectives that can be incorporated into the departments' operational plans. As in any planning process, shorter range goals will naturally be brought to the table and these will be included into the strategic plan as part of the short-term objectives.
