The Friend to Seminarians is a development program that encourages individuals to provide financial The average cost of educating a seminarian for one year exceeds $25,000. Bishop Jugis hosts several dinners during the year that include presentations by some current seminarians and an invitation to invest in future priests. A new $75,000 Challenge Gift each year for four years, beginning in FY 2010-2011, encourages increased giving levels and new gifts for the program.
