2008 Eucharistic Congress Procession Route

The procession for the Eucharistic Congress will take place Saturday morning October 4th. The Procession will begin at 9 am. Although the route is slightly different this year, the distance of three quarters of a mile is the same. It will take approximately 90 minutes for all of the participants to follow the Eucharist into the Convention Center.

This solemn procession will be led by recent First Communicants, the Knights of Columbus and other Sodalities. The Monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament will be carried by the Bishop. The Bishop will be followed by other members of the clergy, religious men and women and finally by the banner carriers and representatives of the individual parishes.

Participants in the procession should gather on Tryon Street SOUTH of St. Peter Church at 8 am.

As the banners make their way along the route Congress attendees are invited to fall into the procession behind the banners and proceed to the Stonewall Street entrance to the Charlotte Convention Center.
