Vocations to the Priesthood

The Diocese of Charlotte welcomes all inquires about vocations to the Priesthood. Please call, e-mail, or write to:

As a general rule successful candidates for the seminary program in the Diocese of Charlotte:

live a life of active faith, prayer and service;
have completed at least two years of college, or at least some college;
are recommended by a priest of the Diocese of Charlotte;
have been involved in the life of their parish;
are under 49 years of age;
have never been divorced;
have resided within the Diocese of Charlotte for at least one year; and
hold a valid tourist or student visa if they are not citizens of the United States.
